Introduction

Hi there! I'm Priyanshu Ranjan — a Software Engineer based in Kolkata, India.

I graduated from IIT Kharagpur with a BS in Physics and currently work at Cimba.ai, where I build scalable, production-grade systems across the full stack — spanning multi-LLM integrations, high-throughput data pipelines, and resilient backend architectures. I've scaled systems to support 1M+ query limits, reduced failure rates to near-zero, and designed RBAC and API infrastructure that enabled seamless onboarding for 1,000+ users.

My core focus is backend development, with strong expertise in Java, Python, PostgreSQL, distributed systems, and cloud-native tooling. I gravitate toward problems that demand both performance and reliability — systems that work correctly at scale, under real-world conditions.

Outside of engineering, I'm drawn to Chess, Tennis, and Finance — Chess for its depth and precision, Tennis for the discipline and competition it demands, and Finance for how it connects systems thinking to the real world.
